This is the undisputed star of Formentera: a 5km continuous strip of fine sand reaching along the south coast of the island. It is not possible to follow its course by car, but several roads running perpendicular to the PM 820 access seven hamlets or villages that line this beach, from El Mal Pas to the west to Es Copinar to the east. In summer, at each point of arrival the sand is inundated with people, but if you walk just a few minutes you can find a quiet spot.
