This rectangular square is a tribute to poet Catherine Frankopan, wife of Petar Zrinski, who retired to an Italian convent after her husband's execution. The square is home to the Museum of Broken Relationships, on the corner of the square and Dverce palace; built in the early 18C and reworked in a historicist style, it is now used to accommodate distinguished guests of the town. Also note the Akademia, Zagreb's first secondary school (1607) and the church of St Catherine.
