Head north from the Gate of Dawn, following Ausros Vartu Street. It continues, soon becoming Didzioji Street, crossing the popular meeting place of Old Town Hall Square bordered by fine façades, before finishing its course above the Vilnius art gallery. On the way, note the church of St Casimir (at n°34); the first Baroque church in the capital, it was built by the Jesuits from 1604. Inspired by the church of the Gesù in Rome, it is dominated by its majestic dome.
