This 12C church with a single nave, built in Provençal Romanesque style, was once used as a fortress and place of refuge for local inhabitants during attacks by pirates. Fortified by ramparts, the church stands on the foundations of older buildings which have been uncovered during excavations - the archaeologicalcrypt bears witness to 2 000 years of history. Items discovered during the excavation work are displayed in the sacristy, including religious objects and bas-relief carvings. Splendid views from the 14C fortified tower.
