Tsar Simeon's Garden was designed in 1892 by Swiss landscape gardener, Lucien Chevalas, for an international architecture exhibition. Today, the manicured park features alleyways shaded by ancient trees, flowerbeds, sculptures and a fountain. The playgrounds with swings lure children like a magnet. A large artificial lake, located in the part of the park furthest away from the central square, is popular for canoeing. A music and light show around the fountain adds to the garden's appeal.
