St Marina's Church is very stylish with its gallery painted in the alafranga style and its vaulting adorned with paintings. Built in the mid-19C by architect Nikola Ustabašijski, it is depicted by three naves, a dome and a six-storey wooden bell tower, added after the country was liberated. The superb interior has retained a fine iconostasis in carved wood (1821-25), icons painted by acclaimed masters (Zahari Zograf, Stanislav Dospevski, Nikola Odrincanin, Dimitar Stanišev) and murals painted in 1932 by Haralambi Tacev.
