Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this enclave of small-scale Art Deco hotels and apartment blocks dating from the late 1920s to the early 40s amounts to the largest concentration of Art Deco architecture in the world. Art Deco uses decorative stylized elements to embellish simple massive forms.
