From its source at the edge of the Dôme mountains, the Sioule picks up speed as it plunges through the granite plateau of the Combrailles, carving out gorges between Châteauneuf-les-Bains and the outskirts of Ébreuil. You reach the gorges via the D 2144 at Pont-de-Menat. From here, continue on to the Gorges de Chouvigny towards Ébreuil, or the Méandre de Queuille beyond Châteauneuf-les-Bains. Art enthusiasts should not miss Ébreuil's church, and for outdoor types there is fishing and canoeing.
