Designed by a Dutch engineer, a system of channels and pumps enables water levels and their salinity to be monitored, and thus to preserve the Camargue's diverse ecosystems. You can appreciate the wealth and diversity of the wildlife and plants in a listed section of the National nature reserve, but only in the company of a guide.
