Overlooking Kremnica city centre, the castle and its adjoining religious monuments form a vast and rich complex to visit. The complex was built between the 13C and 15C. The two-nave interior of the Church of St Catherine is one of the jewels in the crown of Slovakia's Gothic architectural heritage. Next to the church is the two-storey St Andrew ossuary, the oldest building in Kremnica, dating back to the first half of the 13C.
