The Nasrid palaces are the heart of the Alhambra. Each of the three (the Mexuar, Palacio de Comares and Palacio de Los Liones) is laid out around a courtyard, offering visitors a spectacle of extremely intricate architecture: mocárabe (ornamental honeycomb pattern), domes, friezes and stuccowork, reflected in the water and playing with the light. The palaces offer a glimpse of unequalled refinement.
