Built in honour of the Brotherhood of Elks, who served in the First World War, this memorial now celebrates the memory of all American veterans. Inside this neo-Classical structure, there is not a square inch that is not decorated. Under the rotunda and in the reception hall, 26 varieties of marble and richly crafted oak panels, as well as gilded statues, murals and stained-glass windows, fill you with wonder. A true architectural spectacle.
