This vast, harmonious square lined by a series of uniform buildings has become one of the favourite haunts for Barcelona's night-owls. Beneath its arcades you'll find a plethora of bars, cafés and restaurants, while on Sundays it plays host to a stamp and coin market. At its centre, note the two street lamps designed by Gaudí. It is also worth strolling along Passeig Bacardí, a gallery made from iron and glass that leads to La Rambla. Take the passageway that leads to Carrer de Ferran, a long shopping street.
