This spectacular residence, built by Gaudí between 1886 and 1890, illustrates his desire to go beyond the historicist style in vogue at the time. The white stone façade mixes Catalan symbols, such as the dragon and the "four stripes", embellished with imaginary motifs and the initials of Eusebi Güell. Inside, admire the innovative use of materials and the stunning treatment of daylight. The large central salon, with its superb cupola imitating the celestial vault, is the palace's most impressive room.
