The town hall occupies the former courthouse and prison building. The façade is a remarkable example of the late-Plateresque style, with its four balconies supported by two fragile marble columns. Above, the sculpted decor featurs children, arches, friezes, pilasters, heads and busts. The coats of arms are those of the town, Philip II and the corregidor (magistrate), Juan de Borja. The door to the left, formerly the prison entrance, is decorated with two caryatids.
