Housed in a group of 16C-19C buildings, the museum charts the history of Scotland's fisheries and the everyday life of its fishermen. The presentation is both themed (Scottish fish and shellfish, herring and salmon fishing and whaling) and chronological (sailing, steamboats, clippers and the emergence of electric engines). In addition to models and some genuine fishing boats, you will also be able to peek inside a reconstituted late-19C fishermen's cottage.
