This long shopping street crosses the old "Borgo". On the façade at no. 1, a plaque reminds you that Vincentella Perini, better known as Danielle Casanova, member of the French Resistance who died in Auschwitz, was born here on 9 Janvier 1909. It was at no. 28 that Napoleon Bonaparte, pursued by the "Anglo-Paolists" in May 1793, took refuge at the home of the old mayor, Jean-Jérôme Levie.
