In the Rias Atlas, west of Ribadeo, this immense beach, whose cliffs are sculpted into flying buttresses and whose caves sport spired domes, is reminiscent of a cathedral created by the sea, hence its name. The impressive site stretches for several hundred metres but is only accessible at low tide. Consult the tide timetable before descending (posted up on the hut near the As Catedrais restaurant), to avoid being stranded by the rising water!
