Situated in the centre of Vipava, an attractive little town with pre-Roman origins, this restaurant has the feel of a charming and welcoming inn, with the added attraction of an enchanting terrace for summer evenings. The restaurant is pretty and carefully decorated with interesting bottles of wine for sale displayed on the walls. The menu features regional recipes alongside more modern dishes, such as mackerel sashimi with mandarin and the baked pancetta with spicy chard (our favourite). The service is friendly and attentive (the selection of local wines is presented with real enthusiasm) and there’s an attractively priced menu at lunchtime.
