A gastronomic landmark on the island of Murter, the gateway to the Kornati archipelago, which is linked to the mainland by a small bridge. Although the restaurant is a “konoba” (tavern) in name, it is decidedly elegant in feel, with an intimate dining room and outdoor space for the summer months. The cuisine has a Mediterranean focus with just a few meat dishes, while raw fish options (especially tuna) are the house speciality. The property’s kitchen garden provides the fruit and vegetables used in the dishes here, as well as herbs such as marjoram, oregano, basil, rosemary, mint and parsley. There’s also a good choice of wine with an emphasis on Dalmatia and elsewhere in Croatia. The young, dynamic staff add to the appeal.
