Daniel Schröder has made a name for himself in the region. Previously head chef at Kuno 140 in Würzburg, he now runs the small fine dining restaurant at this charming inn and together with Marcel Meining forms the double helm in the kitchen. Drawing inspiration from French cuisine, their culinary creations are full of finesse and made from excellent ingredients. A standout dish is the Norway lobster: a symphony of flavours, cooked to perfection and delicately seasoned, accompanied by a beautifully intense shellfish bisque, which is poured at your table. There is a set menu comprising five or six courses, complemented by a well-curated wine list dominated by regional labels. The decor is inviting and tastefully modern in style. The friendly service also makes for a delightful dining experience. Run by the same family for two generations, Landgasthof zum Kaffelstein has well-appointed guestrooms.
