Although advance booking is required and the restaurant doesn’t take credit cards, Batelina’s fame extends well beyond Istria, and for good reason – for the past 20 years, this inn run by owner-chef and fisherman Danilo Skoko has been renowned for the high quality of its freshly caught fish. The focus here is on using the fish in its entirety, from the prestigious cuts and fillets to the entrails which are transformed into delicious appetisers.
