Built between 1715 and 1724, the impressively proportioned Baroque Benedictine monastery of Weingarten Abbey measures 102m in length with a 44m transept. This impression of interior space is enhanced by the galleries that run through the openings in the dividing pier-partitions. The almost ethereal pulpit, borne up by angels, the Joseph Anton Feuchtmayer choir stalls and the superb Joseph Gabler organ are a perfect match for the discreet stuccowork decor.
