The excellent condition, recent restoration and beauty of this Cistercian convent, founded in the 12C, make it one of the landmarks of southern Catalonia. The church is a fine example of Romanesque-Gothic transition. Its Latin cross shape has a single nave with a belltower and three rectangular apses decorated with sculptures. The galleries in the cloister are depicted by Arab, Romanesque and Gothic styles. The capitulary room houses a statue of Our Lady of the Misericord (15C).
