The Gothic cathedral with the tallest spire in the world (161m/528ft) seems to rise heavenward. Although construction began in 1377 the church was not completed until the end of the 19C. The absence of a transept emphasises the soaring flight of the main nave. Inside the church, the tabernacle and stalls are quite remarkable. The 768-step climb up the spire will reward you with a panorama of the town and the Danube, the plateau of the Swabian Jura and the Alps.
