The former Rue du Temple boasts an attractive series of old houses. At n° 3, admire the beautiful brick and stone house with its roof covered with flaked varnished tiles. Built during the reign of Louis XIII, this was the former residence of the commander of the Order of Malta. At n° 11, the Hôtel Dûchatel-Berthelin (18C) is where Napoleon resided during his French campaign. On a corner, at n° 26, the Hôtel des Angoiselles is embellished with a steeple tower.
