The cave was discovered in 1995 by Jean-Luc Syriex, a speleologist who tragically lost his life a week later, during a second expedition. After descending by lift, you walk for 300m (no incline or stairs), over the course of which you can admire the splendid concretions – elegant draperies, curious helictites and fragile soda straws including the "tree frog" that is the cave's mascot.
