Although less frequented by tourists than historic Tours, the Cathedral district still possesses many charms thanks to its elegant white facades, Place Grégoire-de-Tours, the Archbishops' Palace, (home to the Fine Arts Museum), the castle, and of course, the cathedral. At the end of Rue des Ursulines, the gardens of the Indre-et-Loire regional archives contain the most well-preserved section of the Gallo-Roman wall.
