In the heart of the Financial District, the Toronto-Dominion Centre is an architectural masterpiece that was started in 1964 and is now composed of five buildings. Note the Ernst & Young tower (1992) on Bay St. that encircles the former Art deco stock exchange (1937). The interior of the T-D Centre boasts a few pieces of contemporary art, mostly Canadian. The life-size cows grazing peacefully on the lawn in the central square are signed Joseph Fafard.
