The Palazzo Reale, the origins of which date back to the 16C, was remodelled by Carlo then Amedeo di Castellamonte in the 1640s. Its austere façade hides a richly decorated interior, where Baroque, Rococo and neo-Classical styles demonstrate the changing tastes of the royal family. Don't miss the throne room, dining room, smoking room and portrait gallery, all of which boast parquet flooring, crystal chandeliers and stuccowork decor.
