The Giant Forest, which stretches over almost 8km², is one of the largest forests in Kings Canyon Park and the Sequoia National Park and home to some of the most imposing sequoias. A waymarked path leads to General Sherman Tree, the largest living organism in the world (84m high). From there, the loop of the Congress Trail gets you up close and personal with these giants. For a superb viewpoint, climb the 400 steps that lead to the top of the enormous granite dome that is Moro Rock.
