The cathedral is emblematic of the Romanesque-Gothic transition, but also boasts side chapels that are Plataresque and Baroque. It is precisely this diversity that catches the eye, as do the amazing proportions of the unfinished façade. Inside lies a museum of holy art: Baroque and Plataresque altarpieces, frescoes in the chapels, enormous tapestries hung from the vault - all of which lit by the muted light of the stained-glass and rose windows.
