This church is unusually comprised of two abutting churches, one Catholic, the other Protestant. The left transept of the Catholic church (rebuilt in 1866) is embellished with 16C wood panels carved by Veit Wagner, while the rear of the chancel is decorated with scenes from the Passion (late 15C-early 16C) attributed to Strasbourg artist, Henri Lutzelmann. The painted panels in the right transept are by the Schongauer School (15C).
