These gorges, sunk vertically in the limestone, are beautiful as well as impressive, with the beginning of the Grand Étroit the most grandiose of all; this splendid canyon is more than 200m deep but only 3-10m wide and leads to a 20m-high waterfall sustained by a resurgent spring. From here numerous footbridges cross the stream to arrive at a cave, replete with giant stalactites and stalagmites, which marks the end of this superb walk.
