Located in a pavilion of St-Sauveur Castle, the Musée Colette offers an insight into the life and work of this grand lady. Some 250 photographs and an audio presentation (texts against a background of piano music) recall the novelist's childhood, passions and career. Her drawing room and bedroom were faithfully reconstructed using her own furniture. A fine staircase, each step of which is named after one of Colette's works, leads to the library where the visit ends. In this room, visitors are greeted by 1 500 fake books filled with quotations from the author.
