Built from 1596 by Gilles Ruellan, this is one of the finest castles in Brittany. The imposing granite building cuts a fine figure with its U-shaped layout, high stone chimney stacks and steep slate roofs. After a masterful renovation in 2016-2017, the castle opened to the public; visitors can now explore the interior, richly decorated with period objects and furniture, and brought to life by background soundtracks. Outside, the flowerbeds, dovecote and vegetable garden paint a bucolic picture.
