This stronghold built on a rocky spur was a favourite residence of the Dukes of Lorraine up until the 17C. It still boasts a large portion of its 15C fortifications: ramparts, casemates, the Artillerie, Guet, Redoute and Pères récollets towers, as well as a 13C tower. You will be able to admire an impressive collection of 15C-16C weapons in the arsenal and gaze at the view of the Moselle valley, dominated by the Stromberg, whose slopes are covered in vineyards.
