Overlooking a sailors' graveyard, this pleasant museum has a fine collection of paintings from the 19C to the present day, with an emphasis on two schools of art from Sète - the Montpellier-Sète group (Bessil, Calvet, Couderc, Descossy, Desnoyer, Dezeuze and Fournel) and Figuration Libre (Combas and Di Rosa). Upstairs is an exhibition dedicated to the Sète poet and philosopher Paul Valéry: first editions, manuscripts, watercolours and drawings.
