The favourite residence of the Dukes of Brittany, this imposing château, built in the 13C and remodelled in the 14C and 15C, has been patiently restored. An exceptional series of glazed ceramic floors (13C and 14C) provides a fine example of medieval decorative art. Make your way out to the terrace, which affords beautiful panoramic views over the peninsula and the ocean. A pathway laid out in the marshland bordering the château takes you to the beach. These old saltpans are a paradise for birds (more than 180 species).
