This college, founded in 1531, has played host to countless prominent figures including the Czech humanist Comenius. In fact it was here that he edited the first illustrated school manual, Orbis Pictus for his children. Many famous Hungarians studied here, for example Ferenc Kazinczy, who reformed the Hungarian language and the statesman Lajos Kossuth. Their busts adorn the paths of the "Iskolakert" garden. The college's collection of applied arts, exhibition of the history of the college and the 500,000 volumes in the richly decorated library can also be recommended.
