This Fine Arts Museum is housed in the former aldermen's hall, which has retained a fine 18C façade and a 16C turret. The collections span painting from the 15C to the early 20C. Its outstanding works include a 15C Descent from the Cross by the Catalan School, an Allegory of Earth by Jan Bruegel the Elder, some lovely 16C banquet dishes in coloured enamel and a collection of Saintonge earthenware.
