A native of St Hubert, the watercolourist Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) made an international name for himself thanks to his pictures of flowers - roses, in particular. A specialist in botanical illustration, a discipline that was very fashionable at the time, he frequented prominent scientists, such as the American botanist, Audubon. Numerous original works and prints are exhibited in the little white house in the town centre.
