The triangular Marshal Tito Square, overlooking the port and lined with cafes and terraces, could easily serve as the backdrop to a commedia dell'arte production. It is lined by a 17C town hall, rich in Venetian influences, and by a clock tower and the Baroque Balbi arch, both of which are graced by a winged lion, also a tribute to Venice. It is also home to the Town Museum, which showcases contemporary art exhibitions and collections devoted to archaeology, ethnography, art and local history.
