All that remains of the former medieval fortress are imposing ruins, including two large defensive towers rising out of the forest. The main building has been covered by a transparent roof to prevent further damage and footbridges make it possible to explore the ruins. The star attraction is the hexagonal turret, home to a remarkable spiral staircase. Its windows command a splendid view of the huge fireplaces that used to adorn its three storeys and, outside, over the forest of Barade in the distance.
