The Museo Nazionale Romano provides a stunning backdrop for the splendid collection of Greek and Roman statues brought together by Ludovico Ludovisi (1595-1632). This is one of the four largest 17C collections in Rome along with the Borghese, Medici and Farnese collections. In addition to the works of art, the Palazzo Altemps itself and its beautifully arranged rooms decorated with 15C and 16C frescoes and white marble are also of interest to the visitor.
