On the south side of the former castle square (part of the keep is still standing today) is the Église St-Étienne, which has retained a stained-glass window depicting the martyrdom of St Sebastian, from the 15C (second bay on the right). Gallo-Roman kilns have been excavated near the chevet, and flanking the north side of the church is the "Caveau de Roanne", a small half-timbered house.
