In 1980, a farmer and committed nature lover decided to convert his 120ha/300 acre farm into a zoo to raise awareness about the animals of Lorraine and Europe. Today some 1,500 wolves, bison, wild cats, lynx, vultures and bears live here in semi freedom. The zoo also offers some unexpected experiences, such as sensorial discovery path to be carried out bare foot or a night in one of huts tucked away in the wolf enclosure.
