Two rivers, the Ciron and the Homburens, meet discreetly under the trees a few feet from the château, just where the beautiful Queen Margot is said to have met with her admirers. Nestled in the Bazas countryside and enclosed within a polygonal wall, this furnished château, where Henry IV once put Margaret of Valois under house arrest, has lost none of its charm. Although still inhabited, it is open to the public. In the grounds next to the mill, there is a bamboo garden (the largest in Gironde) irrigated by a waterfall.
