Opis
Dating from the reign of Vespasian, this amphitheatre is one of the largest in Italy and could hold almost 40 000 spectators. Built of brick and stone, the surrounding walls, the entrances and especially the underground parts (corridors, storage areas for the machines) remain practically intact.
