Dominating the Allaine Valley with its imposing outline, the castle has retained its medieval Tour Refous (45m), which commands a fine view. Adjacent to the eastern façade is the Tour du Coq which bears the blazon of a cockerel and those of the bishopric of Basel (a stick).
